I write about stuff. If you need my services, talk to me here:

These are the 3 areas you should focus on

I started using Linkedin seriously January this year, and the growth I’ve experienced since then has been really impressive. People have reached out to me for writing gigs, I got hired by two Copywriting agencies to join their team, and I got a $1000 monthly retainer from a client — all in 5 months.

It all happened because I took the platform seriously and improved my engagement on the platform.

Here are some strategies that helped me and would also help you.

Create Consistent Value

No matter the platform you use, to gain attention, you have to see value creation as a norm…

How to get the deal you want

As a freelancer, negotiating is a skill that’s a must-have. I can even argue that it leads to a happier life because think about this, for example.

How do you feel after negotiating and you don’t get your own part of the deal? Let’s say you’re a writer and have given the client a price of, say, $800 for 4 articles a month, and the client says their company can only afford to pay you $150 for the same number of articles a month. And somehow, they convince you to take the deal

If I were the one, I’d feel…

I’m just saying

You know there are people you see and be convinced that this person will surely do amazing things. You see them, and everything in you tells you that, yes, this person is destined for more.

And it’s not like the person did anything special, you just notice how the person acts and handles certain situations, and you’re convinced that no matter what happens, this person will be set.

You know what I find funny? You’re this person to a lot of people. They see you and admire your input on things, and marvel. They may not tell you directly but…

A piece about life’s wonder

Imagine if everything you did yesterday compounded 100X. That is, no matter what results you got yesterday, it would compound 100X. So, if you did nothing productive yesterday, that’ll be what sums up your whole life.

Thinking about it now, it’s a bit scary because what of people who pushed everything to tomorrow — like me. Does that mean I’ll have nothing? Thankfully, this is just an analogy. But from a wider perspective, that’s how life is.

You know how we’re a sum of what we do every day? And that what we do consistently, we become? And how we…

It’s easy to be average

The media pushes agendas. People push narratives based on their beliefs and mindsets. I don’t know what you are doing, but if you can’t think for yourself, all you’ll be is sheep.

It’s that simple.

You gain most power when you can sit in solitude, in serious communication with the Holy Spirit.

Meditation helps you connect with your creator. And you know how the more you spend time with someone, the more you start to act like them? The same way, the more time you spend with God, the more you become like him.

It’s dangerous how there are many…

The greatest definer

One thing I’ve learned is how much failure you’re likely to encounter on the way to achieving something.

No matter how much you try to avoid failure, it still finds its way. People who think there’s no failure on the way are just being delusional because it’s a must.

But you determine what happens to you by your reactions to it. Basically, you’d have to choose between letting that failure hold you back or to keep trying to win.

It’s as simple as that. This is cliche advice, but there’s so much truth in these things.

Here’s What Makes It Easier

A life hack is…

This will help you too

I’m one of those people who jump into things without having so much knowledge about them and learn on the way. And while that has helped me in terms of speed, I feel like it has also caused me many wasted efforts.

Freelancing is fun. I mean, who doesn’t want to work from home and complete projects anytime they feel like — as long as it’s within the deadline.

Working from home is great, which is why many people are opting for it today. …

They may just be your most valuable asset

I’m convinced that one of the major determinants of success is having people who look up to you and believe in your mission.

I got to understand why people post their growth and progress online. I feel there’s a need deep inside for validation. It may not be completely bad because that’s what gives them the extra push.

Not everyone may see this as a good enough strategy, but it’s helpful to the people who use it. These people may not have anyone around ready to listen to their good news, but as a replacement, they get it online.

You might as well learn time management

I know we’re meant to focus on one thing at a time, but sometimes it’s not really possible. Writing is my full-time job and while every other thing on my schedule involves some form of writing, creating a schedule for what I do gets me close to complete productivity.

I hate when I go into the day without a plan because it messes up my flow. I try — or I’m trying to manage my time every day, so I don’t get slumped and not do all I’m supposed to do.

I’ve gotten to understand that having a particular time set for these things is necessary as it heavily impacts your productivity. And to me, I believe anything that improves my productivity is welcome.

So a productivity tip is to learn proper time management.
